So, this is a post I have been wanting to do for a very long time now.. Sometime before summer vacation we ( me and my boyfriend/fiance ) moved from our teeny tiny one room apartment to a two room apartment on campus! It is still kind of a work in progress but I still wanted to show it because I am pretty happy with how it is looking right now.
So with that I will start showing the apartment! =D
Hallway
The hallway didn't have any theme it s just supposed to be practical and it isn't much of a room anyways.
My shadow or reflection will most likely be in many of the pictures and also I am not a very good photographer
We have very many shoes and jackets so our hallway is very messy. About 90% of our jackets, hats and other outwear is in the wardrobe that's visable on the left and also some shoes. And yes that is a christmas kitty door rug... it's cute it doesn't have to be christmas to use it! >///<
The other side of the hallway is slightly more organized with shoes, caps, wallets and a small basket for keys so we stop misplacing them all the time. The big board is a wallshelf for boyfriends office area that we can't put up at the moment and the door to the right leads to the bathroom.
I thought it might be fun to say which furniture are thrifted to show you can find alot second hand!

Bathroom
The bathroom don't really have a theme other then turqoise/blue or something like that. I wanted it to be simple.
At first I wasn't going to show the bathroom atall because it isn't very interesting but I do like the overall look of it so I decided to add one picture atleast! I really like how the rug matches the blue butterflies in the showercurtain.

Office area
The office area was supposed to have kind of the same colours as the big bookcase but it just ended up being pretty random but I still do like it. Also my desk chair ties it togheter atleast a little bit with the livingroom.
This first picture is more of an overview from the hallway but anyway to the left is the office area which is just part of the living room screened of with a huge bookcase~ To the right is the kitchen but I will show that later.

Boyfriends desk. It is sadly pretty small =/ And at some point we will put up a wallshelf over the desk so it can be less messy under the desk.
My desk! I'm a more messy person, does it show? =) I have alot of space for my computer and all the art supplies, also I have a huge comfortable chair.
This shelf is also full of art supplies and some random stuff ontop. Among the elephants at the top of the desk you can kind of see some cute Hello kitty pasta that I got from my friend ^///^ Also all my oilpaints!! I love my oilpaints they are awesome to work with <3
There is three stationary computers and a screen under my desk.. Good thing I always sit with my legs crossed in the chair. This chair is the comfiest chair ever! I am never going back to normal deskchairs! I mean how may chairs can you just lay down and fall asleep in when you feel like it!
On the office side of the bookcase we have all the non manga books and some dictonaries and studybooks. I still have alot of books at my grandparents house where I used to live but those will have to wait a while because we don't have room for more books!

Kitchen
My first thought was that the kitchen would be white and light colours and lots of florals but I quickly found it hard to find a white tableset so in the end we settled for a wooden one and it does match th wodden cupboards so it ended up being fine. And I still did get in alot of light colours and florals so I'm happy.
This picture is pretty bleached out, oh well overview of the kitchen!
We just washed the dishes before the pictures were taken and I didn't want to wait for it to dry.
The oven mitt isn't dirty just burnt ( just wanted to clarify because it looks gross )
I made the cushions for the chairs, the tablecloth and the matching floral curtains~ And sadly we can't have the litterbox in the bathroom because it's loud in there and the cats don't dare to go in there.. but it has now been moved to the livingroom instead because I hated having it in the kitchen! For some reason Syaoran ( one of our two cats ) allways went and made a stinky when we sat down to eat...
Our fridge has alot of art on it, the small picture furthest to the right is one my boyfriend made me for valentines one year and the top glittery one my sister made for me and boyfriend last time we visited <3
Since I took the pictures we managed to get up this picture shelf and I did not want to retake the kitchen pictures so here are two pictures with the updated look! The pictures I bought because I wanted to use the frames for pictures of me, boyfriend and our lovely animals but the pictures are starting to grow on me so I might have to rethink that plan..

Livingroom
Initally the livingroom was supposed to be dark wood and navy blue because it's nice colours and I wanted to make atleast one part of the apartment more fitting to boyfriend but the furniture we found was too expensive so we changed direction. When we found the big bookcase that ended up being the main point in the room so it was decided to build the colours around that. And when we found the sofa which is slightly reddish/brown I decided for the red curtains to tie in the sofa more to the room since it was only light colours and white fuffyness. Now in the end I am happy I went for light colours anyways, it's a very cosy room that I enjoy spending time in!
The kittens stuff
Biiig sofa and lots of white fluffy stuff. The blankets are that strangely put out because the cats have their food in the window and allways claw into the sofa when jumping up
We found these pretty matching tv furniture in the thrift shop and it fit perfectly into the rest of the room
This picture is taken tonight because I noticed that I didn't have a nice overview picture of this side of the livingroom so the light isn't as nice. The door on the right leads to the bedroom
I made the red curtains myself! And Sakura loves looking out the window and judge people when they go by!

Bedroom
The bedroom is probably my favorite room of all. It is far from finished we still need a bedspread, decorative pillows and a bedskirt. The theme was foresty, natury and fairylike and I think atleast th window side fits the theme nicely. The dinosaur blanket.. not so much but still it's my favorite blanket cover. The main colour is green.
I think this room totally fits me since I am a fairy afterall~
It doesn't show well on pictures but the wall behind the bed, not the one with the window is painted a light green.
The colours aren't very accurate on this picture but I thought it looked pretty and magical~
I love, love, LOVE my dressing corner!! It is sooo pretty <3 decorated the shelf a little ( it isn't done yet ) And I painted the mirror because it was ugly before.. And now this corner is perfect!

Another part I really like, my sewing corner! Under the desk it looks like a mess but that is all the clothes that has to be fixed or remade into something pretty. Also I have a huge amount of fabric! it's mostly tablecloths, curtains and bedsets thought but still works perfect for sewing with!

I LOVE this lamp!! Look at it! It's perfect and it fits perfectly with the theme of the room. Super lucky find at the thrift store <3
Both Sakura and Loki got to be in the pictures and Syaoran was getting grumpy about it so here is the cute little grumpyface in his favorite spot behind the curtains in the bedroom window <3

Oh well that was all of the apartment room by room. I hope it wasn't to boring to read and look at. I'm very happy in this apartment and also with how it looks. I have decided how everything should be decorated myself and I'm really proud of how cosy it looks and is. It really feels like home which is really nice. I haven't really felt at home anywhere ( except maybe when I lived with my grandparents ) And it really is a comfort to have somewhere to feel at home ^///^
